Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL CARL ROMAS 1937 -2005 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend on July 22, 2005. Mike is survived by his wife June of 38 years; sister Stella (Andy); brother Lorne (Gloria); mother Lillie; numerous nieces, nephews their spouses and their children. He was predeceased by his father Harry on July 18, 1973. Mike attended St. John's High School and from there continued his education at the University of Manitoba where he received his degree in civil engineering. He worked at Bridge and Tank Western for several years before going to Manitoba Hydro until his retirement. Mike's interest included golf, reading, tennis, bowling and especially coaching young kids, junior and senior bowlers which he enjoyed for many years. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of choice. To Mike's family - I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Mike in the Transmission and Civil Department prior to his retirement. He had a keen sense of humour and his committment to youth was commendable. I am sorry that I was unable to attend the service.
