ELIZABETH HAUGHEY EGERTON Peacefully, at the Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg, ON, on Friday, July 22, 2005, Betty Egerton (nee Edmonds) at 92 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Wilfred Egerton. Dear mother of George and his wife Manya, and Roseanne and her husband Rev. Ron Kydd. Loving grandmother of Graham (Kathleen), Hugh, Ian, David (Paulette), Emilie (Graham), Matthew (Sarah) and great-grandmother of Lilya. Sister of the late George Edmonds and his wife, the late Helen. Betty Egerton is remembered by her family and friends as a woman of tremendous energy, compassion and faith. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who never let you down, always happy to travel the extra mile. She loved her Winnipeg house on Camden Place where she lived for 77 years, and treasured her neighbourhood and all it's people. She will be remembered affectionately and missed by so many whose lives she touched with her love and generosity. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of the Golden Plough Lodge (corner of Elgin Street and Burnham Street in Cobourg) on Wednesday, July 27 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation with the family to be held at the Lodge on Wednesday, July 27, for one hour prior to the service. Interment to be held in Winnipeg at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial contribution by cheque to the Golden Plough Lodge.
