Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) JARDINE ROBERTS With deep sorrow, we announce the death of Jack Roberts on July 23, 2005. Jack passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital with both of his daughters by his side. His memory will be cherished by his wife Lillian, daughters Roslyn (David), Sandra (Craig), grandchildren Lisa, Sarah and Daniel Bertnick, Fraser and Emily McGlenen, sister Sylvia (Robin) Connor, extended family and many good friends. Jack was born on September 7, 1924 in Windsor, ON. He attended high school at St. Johns Tech. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during Second World War. Jack graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1948. In 1949 Jack married Lillian Johnson. They celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 1999. Jack worked at Great West Life in the underwriting department, retiring as Manager, Underwriting Services in 1981. Jack enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He took delight in his grandchildren and enjoyed all of their activities. Jack and Lill enjoyed many wonderful trips together. He loved the family cottage at Matlock. He served several years there as councillor for the village of Dunnottar. A memorial service celebrating Jack's life will take place at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd. on Thursday, July 28, at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Phil Barnett officiating. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nursing staff and chaplains at the Grace Hospital.
