MARGARET (MARGIE) KATHLEEN PEADSON (nee GUPPY) Margaret (Margie) Kathleen Peadson (nee Guppy) passed away peacefully on July 22, 2005 at her residence at the age of 83. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ronald (Deborah), Larry (Sheila) and daughter Dawn (John); and her grandchildren, Vincent (Mandy), Colin, Laura, Rachel, Michelle (Kelly), Scott (Kristy), Brett (Charisse), Ryan, Shawn and James and her precious great-grandchildren, Daniel, Angela and Breanna. Margie is also survived by her sisters, Jean (Bill), Eden; brother Jack (Airdrie); and many nieces and nephews. Her husband Billie predeceased Margie in 1990. Margie was born May 27, 1922 on the family farm in Rosewood, MB to Roy and Louisa Guppy. She attended school at Arondale and later in Lorette. Following high school she attended a business college in Winnipeg. In 1938 her family moved to Prairie Grove where they owned and operated the General Store. While working in the family store, Mom met the love of her life Billie and they got married November 23, 1946. Mom and Dad lived in a small house on the farm where they raised Ronnie, Larry and Dawn. Mom enjoyed spending time in her garden, especially in her raspberry patch, which was appreciated by her family, friends and customers. In 1972 Mom went back to work as a comptroller for Burns Meats until her retirement. Mom's greatest joy in life was her family who always came first. Mom's interests were knitting, baking, crosswords puzzles, travelling on the Senior Bus Tours, and caring for the family pets. Visitation will take place Wednesday, July 27 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. also at Green Acres Funeral Home with Rev. Sharon Wilson officiating. A private family interment will be held in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Margie's memory may be made to Heart Stroke Foundation and the Winnipeg Humane Society.
