MARY SCOTT After a courageous health battle on Monday, July 25, 2005 with her family at her side, Mary Scott aged 81 years, beloved wife of Merv Scott of Stonewall, MB passed away at the Stonewall and District Health Centre. Survived by her husband Merv Scott of Stonewall; daughter Sharon Pedlar of Pine River; son Carl (Alice) Nieman of Ste. Anne; two stepsons, Lyn (Linda) Scott and Dennis (Diane) Scott. Grandchildren Kerry Lyn (Steve); Jennifer (Gordon); Creg (Cheryl), Jean, Tim, Derek and Kevin. Great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jenna, Clinton, Cameron, Dustin and Donnie. Also two sisters, Elaine Matter and Maxine Hall, and brother George Schultz and survived also by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Linda Nieman and son-in-law Gordon Pedlar. Mary was born in Larcombe, AB and received her education in Leduc, AB. She worked at Dauphin Hospital and later at the Dauphin Personal Care Home for a number of years. Later she worked at Heritage Lodge in Winnipeg for a few years. After working there she started looking after children in the area babysitting. Mary loved making hooking mats and she took great pride in helping her husband Merv showing horses. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Stonewall Hospital, Selkirk Hospital, Health Sciences Centre and CancerCare Manitoba for all their compassion and care. Mom really appreciated this. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church, Stonewall (P.T.H. 67) Pastor Henry Ozirney will officiate, with interment to follow in Stonewall Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to World Vision Canada, 34-62 Scurfield, Winnipeg, MB. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
