ALBERT GOGOL It is with profound sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved husband Albert on July 28, 2005, following a brief but brave struggle with pancreatic cancer. My life's greatest gift was to have Al's love and to have shared in his life for the past 43 years. Al will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Leilani; sister Mickey (Harley); sisters-in-law, Clarice Lemieux, Ellen Nottage (Les); brothers-in-law, Wayne Erickson (Jean) and Frank Welch; special godchildren, Sherry Erickson, Jacquie Delaney, Julianne Staub and Joyce Peters, Randy Benstead and Kevin Smith other family members, nieces, nephews and close friends. Al was born October 1, 1938. He grew up in Swan River and came to work in Winnipeg at an early age beginning a 45 year career in iron work, retiring in 2003. Al was a vital, active and accomplished man. He was honest, hardworking and faithful. He loved the security and comfort of his home and he cherished time spent together with family and friends. He was remarkably skilled and talented at absolutely any task he set out to complete. He especially loved music and found delight and great joy in all that nature provides. Al has left us with a legacy of colourful, beautiful and most precious memories. His love, kindness and zest for life will live on in our hearts forever. The family extends gratitude towards the caring and compassionate staff at the Selkirk General Hospital with a special thanks to Dr. M. Speer, her kindness will always be remembered. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home with a reception to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Bragg, Randy Benstead, Ken Staub, Joe Kostiuk and Pat Syrowicz. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society - Pancreatic Research or the Selkirk Palliative Care Unit. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 Main Street 338-7111 Family and friends are invited to sign The Book of Condolences at: www.gleneden-mb.ca
