Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD CHARLES STITT In the loving arms of his wife and family, Don passed away peacefully at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Don was predeceased by his parents, John G and Viola Stitt of Neepawa and Rossburn, MB. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and best friend Pat. He is survived by his brothers, Mel (Roberta), Del (Elaine), Bob (Janet). Don was a loving uncle to Gary (Jennifer), Brian (Paula), Rob (Heather), Susan (Mataio), Jennifer (Hugo), Michael (Sandra) and his great nieces and nephews. Don was born November 22, 1945 and grew up in Rossburn, MB. He was a person of integrity, principle and conviction. Working proudly for the Royal Bank for 33 years throughout rural Manitoba, Winnipeg and Northwestern Ontario, he retired as an Area Manager in 1997. He remained active in local commerce by starting his own financial consulting business. Don loved the Lake of the Woods region where he and Pat built the home of their dreams. He was a visionary who worked passionately on their home and its beautiful landscape always seeking perfection. He was a devoted member of Kenora's community, actively contributing to the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and Hospital Board. He was involved in numerous community initiatives and was a dedicated advocate for the Lake of the Woods region. Don and Pat enjoyed the winter months in Palm Springs and ski vacations in the mountains. Pat and family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital for their support and professional attention. A memorial service will be held at Knox United Church, Kenora on Tuesday, August 2 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Don may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Kenora Branch, P.O. Box 824, Kenora, ON P9N 4B5. BROWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION CENTRE ENTRUSTED WITH ARRANGEMENTS.
