Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEX (SANDY) RYRIE November 2, 1914 to August 1, 2005 On August 1, 2005, Alex Ryrie peacefully passed away at his home with his family at his side. Alex will be lovingly missed by his wife Evelyn of 56 years: his son Allan Ryrie of Elm Creek and his daughter Eleanor Ryrie of Vancouver, BC. His nephew Jack Ryrie and family, nieces, Sandra Moynham and family, Jean and Bob Morriseau, Janet Kenyon and family and many relatives from Evelyn's family. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Jessie Ryrie; brother Jim and wife Edna; and two sisters, Peggy and Ina. Alex and his family immigrated from Scotland in 1921. They settled in Graysville and later relocated to a farm near Elm Creek. Alex went on to farm his own land in the Wingham area. He married Evelyn Ambler in 1949. Alex dearly loved his family, the farm life and being part of this community. Funeral service will be held on August 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Elm Creek United Church in Elm Creek, MB with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Burial will take place at the Elm Creek cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elm Creek United Church, 101 Church Ave., Elm Creek, MB R0G 0N0 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St. Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
