Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHEILA COULSON BLOOMER (nee YOUNG) Peacefully on July 27, 2005 at Misericordia Health Centre. Sheila is survived by her sister Susanne (Robert) Law and sister-in-law Anne Young; nieces: Phyllis (Bob) Bjorkstedt, Jennifer (Bruce) Fraser, Susanna (Danny) Killhoury, Gail (Roger) Potts and Madeleine (Dan) Welton; nephews: Ian (Cheri) Hunter, Graham Law, Bobby (Pat) Young and Tim (Lynn) Young; as well as godchildren Barbara Moffat and Thane Warburg. Sheila cherished her many friends, too numerous to mention, who will remember her well. Sheila was predeceased by her parents Susanna Craig and William George Young as well as her sister Elizabeth (Douglas) Hunter and brother William Young. Sheila's life began on October 1, 1920 in Winnipeg. She graduated from Kelvin High School and later the University of Manitoba. She worked as a dietician in Bermuda, Canada and England where she married Guy Bloomer. Sheila returned home to write for the Winnipeg Tribune and pursue her career as a teacher. She greatly enjoyed the arts, sailing, skiing, swimming and paddling at the family cottage in Minaki. A Memorial Service will be held at Westminster United Church on Thursday August 4 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations may be made to The Westminster United Church Foundation, 745 Westminster Avenue Winnipeg, MB R3G 1A5.
