MARY LEONA SLUSARENKO (nee MORROW) Mary Leona Slusarenko, beloved wife of Joseph Slusarenko, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at the Deer Lodge Centre. Born December 23, 1929 in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Morrow. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 56 years; sons, Michael (Marianne), Peter (Sandra) all of Winnipeg, and Brian of Dartmouth, NS; daughters, Katherine of Dartmouth, NS and Mary-Anne (Ernie) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Joyce, Jacqueline, Michelle, Melanie, Duril, Shawn, Christina, Damian, and Ernst; great-grandchildren, Tess, Taya, Brittany, Tyler, Ella and Hector; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Peter in infancy, Clarence, Francis, Joseph, and great-granddaughter Calista. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. If friends desire, donations in Mary's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Nang, you were the best Grandma I could have asked for. Thank you for all your wisdom, for teaching me everything you could about life. I think about you every day. I feel your presence still. I know you're still with me. Miss you so much. I hope you and Pa are on a blissful journey in a different realm somewhere. I can't wait to be reunited with your souls.
