HAZEL ESTER ERICKSON (nee FORRESTER) October 21, 1921 - August 1, 2005 It is with great sadness and a heavy heart, that we mourn the passing of Hazel. Hazel was born on October 21, 1921 in Grandview, MB and married Johan (John) Erickson on November 21, 1939. They homesteaded many years in Birch River, MB. She will be lovingly remembered by three children, Ivan (Ruth) Erickson, Gordon (Adele) Erickson, and Joan (Walter) Gaudry; the grandchildren, Cathy, John Jr., Sharmon, (Rod Sauraurer), Cheryl, Sheila, Brian, Robert, D'Arcy, and Michelle; and great-grandchildren, Tara, Shayleen, Joey and Keegan. Hazel will also be lovingly remembered by one and all in Birch River and surrounding district. Especially for her lovely flowers! And the many awards she won for her flowers in different horticultural shows in the Birch River area throughout the years. Cremation has already taken place, and the memorial for Hazel will be held on Friday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. in Birch River. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Hazel's memory to either a 4-H Club, or the local horticultural society.
