Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD JOHN KOWALSKI January 24, 1946 - July 31, 2005 It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather, Richard John Kowalski on July 31, 2005 while working in Calgary, AB. Richard was predeceased by his mother Rose in 1997 and his father John in 2002. Richard leaves to cherish his many memories, his loving wife of 40 years Arlene; his three daughters, Karen (Sean), Audrey (Karl), Donna (Edwin); his four grandchildren, Kevin, Aaron, Bradley and Taylor; his sisters, Iris Saunby (Al Graham) and Bernice Lindsay. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Richard began his construction career at the age of 15 alongside of his father John at Burton Construction. Throughout Richard's career he developed his skills working for the various companies, Columbia and Norilyn Constructions, just to name a few. Richard's love for construction inspired him to develop his own construction company ADK Enterprises. Under his company, he was contracted by Dufresne Furniture to oversee renovations in Calgary. It is there that he passed away doing what he loved to do. Dad had many passions in life, family, gambling, casinos, C.C. Classic and a good game of 31 . So we know wherever Dad is, he's enjoying a drink at a casino and looking down at us with a smile. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Glenmore Inn for their care and compassion given to our mother at her time of need. A celebration of Richard's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550

It is with great sadness that I learned of Richard's sudden passing. I had the distinct pleasure of working with him renovating the old Palliser to Ashley Furniture store; he was a good man who will be sorely missed by all. My deepest condolences to Arlene and family. - Posted by: Garry Woroniak (Co-Worker) on: Aug 04, 2005
