RHODA (HIGENBOTTAM) GATT Rhoda Gatt died peacefully at Mountain View Extended Care Unit, Ladner on July 28, 2005. Rhoda was born Rhoda Lorraine Kennedy in Gladstone, MB, January, 30, 1921, daughter of Angus and Anne Kennedy. She lived in Gladstone and Winnipeg until 1969 when she moved with her family to Victoria, BC. Rhoda was active in music and volunteer work. Her first husband, Alan Higenbottam died in 1978. Rhoda subsequently married Dougal Gatt who died in 1987. Rhoda was predeceased by her sisters, Brenda Kennedy and Frances Poersch, Gladstone. She is survived by her brother Jack Kennedy, Winnipeg; daughter Gillian, Ottawa; and sons, Mark (Jean), Canmore and John (Donna), Delta. She is also survived by grandchildren, Michael Little, Calgary, Wendi Higenbottam, Vancouver, Amanda Higenbottam, Vancouver and great-granddaughter, Ember Little, Calgary. Rhoda's family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Mountain View Extended Care Unit as well as Dr. Wong for the excellent care she received. A memorial service will be arranged for Rhoda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain View Extended Care Unit, in care of the Delta Hospital Foundation.
