Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN KAHLER (nee STECIUK) June 27, 1932 - August 3, 2005 Suddenly, after a lengthy illness, our devoted mother passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 73. Lil is survived by her two sons, Grant and Brad. She was predeceased by her husband James Kahler; parents, Michael and Teenie Steciuk. Mom was born and raised in Yorkton. She was employed at Weston Bakery for 33 years retiring in 1997. After dad passed away mom became a full time mother and provider. She was always there for her children. Mom cherished her family and the many happy times over the years spent together, and at the cottage. Mom loved feeding and caring for the deer and the many animals around the cottage every summer. She was especially glad to have been at the cottage the last week of July 2005, shortly before her passing away. In 1973, mom was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a devout student of the Bible. She enjoyed sharing her Bible based hope for the future with others (Daniel 2:44) and looked forward to the promised future where death and pain would be no more (Rev. 21:4). Life was very precious to mom; she will be forever missed by her extended family and many friends. Her life and memory will forever be in the hearts of her sons. Special thanks to mom's doctors, medical staff and friends who so lovingly cared for her. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Tom Didur officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends desire, a donation may be made in Lillian's memory to Watch Tower, Box 4100, Halton Hills (Georgetown), ON L7G 4Y4. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
