KATHERINE (KAY) DOLYNIUK (nee SZWEC) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Katherine (Kay) Dolyniuk on July 31, 2005, at Victoria Hospital in the caring arms of her daughter Elizabeth Diane. She was 85 years old. She was predeceased by her loving husband Henry; parents, Maria and Nykolas Szwec; sister Anne Freskiw; and daughter Eleanor. Kay leaves to mourn her children, Betty, Ernie (Donna), Joni, Barbie (Wayne); grandchildren, Robin, Marcel, Darren (Jill), Courtenay, Michelle (Richard) and Larissa; great-grandchildren, Jamie and Kati; sister-in-law Nellie Dolyniuk; brother-in-law Peter (Mary) Bachinski and family; the Freskiw family; nieces and nephews, Nick, Kay, Mary, Steve, Bill, Peter and their families; niece Wendy Adamkowski; and nephews, Warren and Gord Dolyniuk. Mom was born on February 19, 1920, in Meleb, MB. Mom and Dad were married on October 18, 1937; together they shared 67 wonderful years. Our mother's life was loving and caring for her family and pet Pretty Kitty also known as Puppy. Mom was a gracious hostess. Her kind and gentle ways made everyone feel welcome. Mom will be missed by her children and all who knew her. Baba will be especially missed by her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren who could always count on her unconditional love. The family wishes to thank the staff of Golden Links Lodge and home care staff Audrey, Linda, Anita and Jan for their kindness and care of our dear mom. We thank you with all of our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest, beside her husband Henry.
