ARTHUR (ART) WILLIAM FORD Suddenly and peacefully with his family by his side Art passed away on August 4, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 59 years. He is lovingly survived by his wife Tami; son Tom (Shawna); daughter Kelsey; grandsons, Caine, Josen and Andon; brothers, Stan (Freda) and John (Linda); nieces and nephews, Bev (Charles) and son MacKenzie; Colleen, Tracy, John, Tod, Isaiah and Sarah; mother-in-law Barbara (Curt); cousins, aunts and uncles and many close friends, including his best friend Andy. Art was predeceased by his parents, William Bill and Isabelle Ford; father-in-law Harris Voegeli; and grandfather-in-law Murphy Pomptun. Art was employed by Arnold Bros Transport for almost 30 years. He had a great love for the outdoors where he enjoyed making trails and parks, one being Mosquito Park at his cottage at the Narrows. He liked to build and amazed everyone by building his cottage unassisted, with his own two hands. Everybody would build a straight driveway, but not Art. Because he was a trucker he had to design something that he could back in and around, an S curve. He enjoyed traveling to Arizona, accompanied by three women and his patience was amazing. He liked playing cards and games and was very sensible about little things in life like a sugar bowl was best made out of an old jam jar than a fancy store bought bowl. Most important to him was spending time with his family and friends. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Prairie Grove Church, Lorette, MB. In his memory donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
