YVONNE HERMAN (nee OWENS) On August 5, 2005, surrounded by the love of family, our dearest wife, mother , grandmother, and friend has ended her struggle to find peace with our heavenly father. Predeceased by her mother Bertha and father John; brothers, Leo and Alex. She will be sadly missed by husband of 45 years Morris, daughters, Debbie (Wayne), Darlene (Roger); granddaughter Kaylynne; her dear brother Aurel; sisters-in-law, Susie, Helen, and Edna; many nieces, cousins, Agnes, Olive, Teri and Rita and longtime friends Bernice and Stella. Born in Gravelbourg, SK, she moved to Winnipeg at a young age. Entering the work force at an early age, she worked hard throughout her life. Her most important job was being a good wife and mother. Her family meant the world to her. The love of her granddaughter gave her the utmost joy, giving Mom the strength to carry on. She will always be remembered for her kind and generous nature. Throughout her struggles she always maintained a strong religious belief. She enjoyed family gatherings and had impeccable culinary skills. Her caring spirit and love of animals allowed her to adopt her precious friends Hobo, Muffin and Duchess. Mom enjoyed travelling and working in her garden. We the family extend our heartfelt thanks to all the countless people who cared for Mom throughout this difficult journey. With special gratitude to Dr. Leylek and Dr. Kuegle for their kindness and wisdom, and to all the staff at Concordia Hospital (3 East) for their compassionate care. To all our friends and family for their support and prayers. As per her request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 E. and Navin Road with interment to follow in Green Acres cemetery.
