DOREEN MARY MOSS (nee RILEY) 1925 - 2005 Peacefully on August 5, 2005, at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Doreen Mary Moss, in her 80th year passed away with her family by her side. Doreen is survived by her daughter Delayne (Paul), grandchildren, Darcie (Nathan), Scott (Faye), Holly, Aimee (Tony); great-grandchildren, Cayde and Luca; sister-in-law Dora Mosalowski and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Darryl, husband John, granddaughter Christianne, sister Margaret Peggy , parents, Clifford and Kathleen. Mom held various jobs in her life including Eastman Kodak. The one job Mom embraced the most was her lifetime devotion to her husband John, and precious children, Darryl (Willie) and Delayne (Tilly). Retiring to Gimli, Mom was a member of The New Horizons Club and The Senior Echoes Choir. Mom's love of people, remarkable strength and sense of humour will be with us always. Not often in ones lifetime are you blessed with a true friend. My mother was blessed in her many years of friendship with her dear friend, Peggy Boardman. Together they escaped the Manitoba winters to enjoy the sun in Mexico and San Diego. Do not stand by my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep, I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint upon the snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain And I am the gentle autumn rain, When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand by my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die. A very special thank you to the nurses and staff at Johnson Memorial Hospital for their loving care of Mom and family members. A service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10 at the Gimli Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Holy Ghost Cemetery, in care of Marnie Klym, Box 275, Gimli, MB ROC 1BO or Niagara Orchard Community Church of The Salvation Army, 8169 Spring Blossom Dr., Niagara Falls, ON L2H 3G5. • It is with the deepest sympathy that I send this. I had the priviledge to look after Doreen when she was living in Waterfront. She was a very sweet loving lady who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Sincerely, Betty Comberbach Gimli Home Care. - Posted by: Betty Comberbach (Acquaintance) on: Aug 09, 2005
