MILDRED LILLIAN MANWARING (nee MCASKILL) Peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2005 Mildred Manwaring passed away at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husbands James Harold Muirhead and F.M. Manwaring; parents Robert and Margaret McAskill and sisters Jean McElheran and Myrtle Karpiuk. Mildred is survived by her daughters Barbara (Walter) Ediger of St. Anne MB and Betty (Peter) Signorile of Winnipeg, granddaughter Jennifer Muirhead, great grandson Dylan Muirhead and stepson Duane Manwaring of Winnipeg. Mildred was a loving mother and grandmother. She found much pleasure in her family. She enjoyed shopping, golf, travelling, singing at the Manor and belonging to the New Years Club and the Birthday Club. Generally she enjoyed being with people and had the gift of the gab. Funeral Service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ross Taylor officiating. Private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Mildred's memory to Lions Prairie Manor Foundation, 24 9th Street SE, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3V4 or to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 21 Royal Road S. Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1T8 or to a charity of one's choice.
