RICHARD BRIAN HOLLANDS Peacefully on August 4, 2005, Richard Brian Hollands passed away at the Selkirk General hospital, at the age of 75. He will be sadly missed but always near in our hearts. May 2005, he was predeceased by his wife Eleanor of 52 years. He is survived by son Richard (Michelle) granddaughters Danielle and Emily, step grandchildren, Chad and Kaela; daughter Heather (Philip) and their children, Kylie, Shailyn and Hannah. Brian was one of three children born to Richard and Marie Hollands in Petersfield MB on August 13, 1929. Brian met the love of his life Eleanor while drilling a well at her parent's farm. Brian and Eleanor married in 1952 and moved to Winnipeg where Brian became a certified carpenter and was employed by Eaton's. In 1962 they moved to the Clandeboye district where they took up farming. Brian was a man of enormous inner strength, silent faith and intense loyalty to family. He was a private man with gentle ways, who maintained a keen sense of humour. He had the ability to bravely cope with his illnesses. In keeping with Brian's wishes, no formal service will be held. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
