RON GYLYWOYCHUK Ron died peacefully at the Beausejour Hospital on August 6, 2005 after a lengthy illness with cancer. He was predeceased by his father, John, twin brothers Matthew and Luke and sister-in-law Trudy. He leaves to grieve his loving wife Terry, his mother Ann, brothers Nestor (Joan), Peter and Ernie (Donna). Also nephews and nieces: Dave (Karen), Wendy (Sean), Dwayne, Marshall (Maria), Kyle (Michelle), Ryan (Rhonda), Allison, Shelley (Terry) and Cory. Ron was so proud of them all and enjoyed hearing about all their accomplishments and what was going on in their lives. He also leaves behind great nephews and nieces: Kaitlyn, Megan, Ben, Jolene, Madeline, Emma, Chloe, Luke, Jordyn, Taylor, Mackenzie and William. Ron was born in Vita in 1943 and spent his first 14 years in Tolstoi, MB. The family then moved to Winnipeg in 1957. He graduated from Gordon Bell High School and started his career in the accounting field, which he enjoyed very much. In 1988 he decided on a change of career and went into business for himself as a carpenter, first in Winnipeg and then in Lac du Bonnet where he and Terry made their permanent home in 1994. He made many friends in that area. Ron enjoyed all sports. He played baseball, golfed, curled, loved to throw a football. He also enjoyed fishing, both summer and winter. He was also a self-taught musician and spent many hours playing his guitars and keyboard. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Campbell and the nursing staff at the Beausejour Hospital for their special care of Ron. Also, Dr. Demsas, Melanie and Debbie at the Chemo Department in Selkirk and Dr. Czaykowski and Kristie at CancerCare Manitoba. A Memorial service will be held at Green Acres on Friday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 E. at Navin Rd. with interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
