LYDIA ROSSNAGEL Passed away at Golden West Centennial Lodge, Winnipeg, where she has made her home for over 18 years, Lydia Rossnagel, age 96 years, formerly of Waldersee, MB. She was born Lydia Schmidt on July 12, 1909 in Poland. In 1924 she immigrated to Canada with her parents and settled at Waldersee, MB. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1930 she married William Rossnagel and they farmed in the Waldersee district until retiring to Winnipeg in 1974. Left to mourn Lydia's passing is one son Ervin Hilda of Waldersee, two daughters, Edna Norman Stark of Mossbank, SK, and Marlene Peter Enns of Edmonton, AB, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and nine step-grandchildren and their families. Predeceased by her husband William in 1993, one son Harold in infancy, her parents Johan Martha Schmidt, and brothers Frederick, John, and Philip. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ Lutheran Church, Waldersee, MB with Rev. Michael Fehr officiating. Interment will follow in the Waldersee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Waldersee, MB R0J 2G0. Clarke's Funeral Home, Gladstone in care of arrangements.
