WILLIAM ROBERT MCDERMID We are sad to announce the very sudden and unexpected passing of William Robert McDermid on Thursday, August 4, 2005. Left behind to mourn him are his loving wife Linda; his daughters, Nancy (Don), Judy (Jim) and Christine (Nathan); his sons, David (Judi), Bobby (Deborah) and Brian (Cissy); his grandchildren, Robert, Gordon, Garrett, Jamie, Alexander, Bradley, Dawn, Paige, Jenna, Alleyah, Connor; and great-grandson Hunter. He is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews and the many people whose lives he touched. Predeceased by his mother Lulu and father Alexander and first wife Alice. Born November 25, 1931 in Renfrew, ON, he grew up as a very hardworking man who dedicated his life being the best truck driver ever for the last 50 years. As a veteran of the Korean War everyone loved to gather around his house to listen to his stories of the good old days and his unique sense of humour. He was friendly and outgoing and made friends wherever he went, he's the only man we've known who could walk into a restaurant for a meal and come out with a lifetime friend. A memorial service to be held Thursday, August 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
