ELAINE LEONIE JAMES (nee BAERT) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine, born January 26, 1945 at St. Boniface, MB. Elaine died peacefully on July 22, 2005 in the presence of her husband at Delta Hospital, BC. She is survived by her children, Krista, Jasen and Jennith and Terry Miller, her loving husband and friend of the last 21 years; all of whom spent a great deal of time with her during her three week hospital stay. She is also survived by her two stepchildren, Stephan and Carolyne; two brothers, a sister and brother-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Elaine was a sweet and generous spirit who was loved by her community of friends on Mayne Island, in Greater Vancouver and indeed throughout North America; especially Cecily Nessman, Jill Weldon, Eleonora Kennedy, Judy Taylor, Rosalie Letour and Jack James. We love you Mum. We miss you already. We trust you are happy up in heaven. A celebration of Elaine's life and memorial service was held on Friday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kearney Funeral Home, 1096 West Broadway (S.E. corner of Spruce - with parking off lane), Vancouver, BC - Ph: (604) 736-0268. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu thereof, you may choose to make donations in her name to the Delta Hospital Foundation, Delta, BC V4K 3V6.
