ULRICH WOELCKE Peacefully on August 8, 2005, our dear husband, father and Opa passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 75 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Rosmarie; his three children, Michael (Lorilee), Gerald (Nicki) and Barbara Aitken (Neil); and his six grandchildren, Nicholas, Natasha, Tayler, Alexa, Thomas and Krista. Ulrich was born on October 16, 1929 in Danzig, Germany. He enjoyed a carefree youth with many friends and family until the war disrupted his life. Post-war years were spent in Northern Germany with his family. In 1951, he immigrated to Canada. A few years later, in 1955, he married his good wife and life's companion Rosmarie. After completing his Master's degree in Social Work, he spent 32 years working for the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities. During his career he enriched the lives of the many people he came in contact with. Ulrich cherished his family, friends and colleagues and loved to share his sense of humour with them. We will miss him very much! A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 11 at 11:00 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements by Friends Funeral Service 339-5555.

To the family of Rick, my deepest sympathies. I worked with Rick when he was in charge of the Group Programs and I headed Employment Preparation Centre and Child and Youth Services. He was always optimistic and enthusiastic. He touched the lives of thousands. With my deepest condolences, Donna Cunningham - Posted by: Donna Cunningham (Zdriluk) (Co-Worker) on: Aug 11, 2005
