WILFRED DONALD MCPHERSON On Monday, August 8, 2005, Wilfred Donald McPherson passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital. He was 98 years old. Wilf was predeceased by his wife, Doris McPherson (nee Dalton); his three older brothers, Bill, Gordon and Gerald; and his sisters, Kay Duckworth and Inez (in infancy). He is survived by his sister, Mary Mansell of Calgary; his brother, Doug, and wife, Peggy, of Bournemouth, England; his sisters-in-law, Kay Dalton of Winnipeg and Betty Dalton of Toronto; and brother-in-law, Harry Duckworth of Winnipeg. He is also survived by his daughter Grace Louise Proven and husband Donald of Winnipeg, their children, Heather McKennitt, Diane Williamson, John Proven, Tanis Haggerty and their spouses; his son Donald and wife Gayle of Toronto, ON, their children, Lauren Corbett, Brent McPherson, Blair McPherson and their spouses; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wilf was an avid sports fan with real zest for life! His strong spiritual beliefs, ethical values and uncompromising principles guided him through life and made him a role model for the many whose lives he touched. We will cherish his memory and take comfort in his own words, Doris and I had a wonderful life! Interment will take place 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11 at Brookside Cemetery. Following the interment, a memorial service will be held at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor Ave., at 3:00 p.m., also on Thursday. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway - 783-7211
