Remaining to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years Lois; children, Rene, Dianne Toker, Suzanne Rueckert, Monique (Brian) Bilecki, Pierre (Shelly), Rachele (Chris) Letkeman, Giselle (Jordan) MacMillan; 16 grandchildren, Sarah, Chelsea; Bryce, Myles; Matthew, Tracy, Lindsay; Ryan, Amber; Fawn, Skyler, Keiran, Javyn; Brett, Troy; Connor; and one great-grandson Braedyn; his sisters, Yvette (Ted) Martin, Lucienne Boire, Claire Shank, Lise Larocque; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Rheal was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Rheal grew up in Cache Bay, ON. As a young man he moved to Toronto where he took his trade as a pipefitter, from there moved to Chalk River, ON where he started his 30 year career at A.E.C.L. and also met the love of his life, Lois. Rheal was transferred to Pinawa in January 1964 where they raised their seven children. Rheal moved to Winnipeg and retired in 1986. He retired at an early age allowing him to use his many talents to help those in need, in his church and his surrounding community. Ray was blessed by the Lord and shared God's love in tangible ways, from building a garage to doing wood projects with the grandkids and volunteering his time at Union Gospel Mission. Ray was a mentor to many young and old. He had a listening ear, caring heart and loved to fellowship with others. Through many physical adversities his positive spirit shone. When asked how he was doing, he always replied I am blessed. Ray has left a strong legacy of faith that he taught to his family and friends and will be an ongoing legacy to them. What Is A Life Well-lived? It is hands that have given much more than they have taken... feet that have chosen the way of goodness and peace... eyes that have seen the blessings of each day... lips that have spoken with tenderness and care... a heart that has embraced each season of life with gratitude and joy. Special thanks to Dr. I. Mohammed for all his special care above and beyond the call of duty along with the home care staff that assisted us with taking care of Ray at home. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Kilcona Park Alliance Church, Lagimodiere Boulevard and Norris Avenue, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Union Gospel Mission, 320 Princess Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Funeral arrangements entrusted to: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 701 Regent Avenue West at Brewster 224-1525
