ANN MCGUIRE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ann McGuire. She was predeceased by husband John McGuire; parents, Annie and John Hammond; siblings, Frank, James, Betty, Christine and Mary. Left to mourn her passing are sons, Steve, Kevin (Cindy), James, John (Trish); grandchildren, Dane, Gage, Brennan, Katie, John and Ciaran; sisters, Margaret Campeau (Andrew), Alice McGuinness (Frank), Maureen Kenny (Michael); brother Joseph Hammond and many nieces and nephews. Ann was born on May 22, 1932 in Scotland and came to Canada in 1955. She worked for a brief time for Prime Minister John Deifenbaker. After settling in Winnipeg, she worked for CNIB and then moved on to Deer Lodge as a nurse's aide until her retirement in 1992. Ann was a loving, generous and kind woman; she will be remembered for her adventurous spirit and devotion to her children and grandchildren. She will be genuinely missed by all who knew her. We love you mom! A special thank you to all the family who came in from Scotland and Gatineau; to the Gallagher family for their support. Many thanks as well to the staff at Misericordia Place and Victoria General Hospital for the excellent care. Funeral will be held at Holy Rosary Church, Friday, August 12 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at Chapel Lawn to follow. Donation in lieu of flowers may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
