Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS ANNE YOUNGEST (nee ENNS) 1940 - 2005 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom Gladys Youngest (nee Enns). She passed away peacefully at Cottonwoods Care Centre on August 10, 2005 at the age of 65 years. Mom was born on July 25, 1940 in Lowe Farm, MB where she grew up and attended school. She moved to Winnipeg and worked in the Eaton's mail room where she met the love of her life and married in 1958. They started a family and moved to British Columbia in 1965. They enjoyed travelling and lived in many places around the world. They settled in Winfield, BC where mom worked at the Winfield Packing House. Mom loved her family and friends. Her passions were reading, knitting, sewing, baking and gardening. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Gordon Youngest March 20, 2005. Mom and Dad were inseparable especially in the last few years when Mom relied on Dad for assistance. Mom is survived and greatly missed by her daughter Yvonne Fukada (Tadashi); son Michael (Debbie); grandsons, Simon Fukada and Adam Youngest. Mom will be missed by her sisters, brothers and many other family members. Mom was a strong spirit, very adventurous, giving and kind. Mom, we miss you more than you will ever know. We will think of you often, and love you always. The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers at Cottonwoods Care Centre for their kind care of our Mom and the support of her family. As per Mom's wishes there will be no formal service. If friends so desire, please donate in Mom's memory to the Kelowna Hospice (Douglas Fir Unit, Cottonwoods), the Parkinson's Society or a charity of your choice.
