MARY BIASONE On August 9, 2005, at Riverview Health Centre, surrounded by loved ones, Mary succumbed to her fourth courageous battle with cancer at the age of 81 years. She is survived by five children, Vincent (Sandra) of Nova Scotia, Angela (John) of Winnipeg, Celeste (Oscar) of Brandon, Carol (Nelson) of Winnipeg, Camillo of Winnipeg and sister Alice of British Columbia, and Laura (Mike) of Ontario, as well as many nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Mary was born in 1924 in Hayland, MB and moved to Winnipeg in the early 1940s where she sewed buttons on soldiers' uniforms during the war, later becoming a sewing machine operator. Mary was very family-oriented and loved to cook for the family. Mary had many hobbies; sewing, quilt-making, baking, gardening, oil painting, and enjoyed playing bingo with her bingo partner Grace. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, at 984 Portage Ave. (entrance on Aubrey Street). The service will conclude at the chapel with interment to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Ashern, MB at 5:30 p.m. that day. Mary will be sadly missed by everyone. Many thanks to the Palliative Care Program and all who helped us through this difficult time. The family would like to thank Ann at Fort Garry Rotary Villa for accommodating our family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba, P.O. Box 2248, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4A6. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOME LTD. ASHERN - LUNDAR (204)768-2072
