Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY DYKUN July 22, 1915 - August 11, 2005 Peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2005, our dearly beloved, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her husband Steve in 1996 and her first husband Alfred Subtelny in 1946; six brothers and one sister. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her son Morris (Carole) Subtelny, daughter Vicki (Ted) Tycholis, and daughter Elizabeth; six grandchildren, Lori (Christopher), Carrie (Ron), Tamara (David), Michael, Gerald (Estelle) and Janice (Mark); 10 great-grandchildren; sister May Kindrat (Grandview, MB); brother Nick (Doris) Lukey (Sudbury, ON); many nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was born and raised in Grifton, MB. She was employed by the City of Winnipeg until her retirement. She was a very spiritual person whose faith was very important to her. Her home was always open to everyone and family always looked forward to her Sunday dinners. Mom enjoyed gardening, sewing and knitting. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave., with a Basilian Father presiding. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation, 2300 McPhillips St., Winnipeg, MB R2V 9Z9.
