Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSINA FLORENCE CHAGNON (FULLER) May 6, 1916 - July 28, 2005 Rosina Florence Chagnon passed away quietly at the age of 89 at the Victoria Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Chagnon in 1998. Rosina was born and raised in London, England where she met and married the love of her life Joseph during the Second World War. After the war Rosina and Joseph settled in Ontario until Joseph's retirement when they moved to Winnipeg. They had no family. Rosina and Joseph were one of the first residents to reside at Lions Place, moving in when it opened on September 1, 1983. Rosina was a loving and dedicated wife and missed Joseph terribly after his death. The staff and residents of Lions Place will sadly miss Rosina. She and her best friend Winnie could be found sitting at their favourite table in the dining room of Lions Place or chatting in the lounge area every afternoon. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 18, at Lions Place, 610 Portage Avenue, at 2:00 p.m. Everyone who knew Rosina and Joseph are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rosina's memory to Lions Place, care of Lions Housing Centres, 320 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2W6.
