Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA TELKE Olga Telke, aged 98 years, passed away at Bethania Personal Care Home surrounded by her family on August 14, 2005. Born Olga Mietz in Bukcaploz, Poland on March 4, 1907. She married Robert Telke on January 29, 1929. They moved to Germany in 1945 and immigrated to Canada arriving in Portage la Prairie in April, 1953. In 1956 they moved to the Lockport area. Before moving to Bethania on December 31, 2002, Mom had lived the last 27 years with her daughter Erika and son-in-law John. Mom and Dad had a family of eight daughters and three sons. Mom was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1957; her three sons, Henry in 1987, Reinhold in 1999 and Erwin in 2001; her daughter Martha in 1993 and her two sons-in-law, Kurt Meier and Arno Kratsch. Left to cherish her memory are her seven daughters, Irene (Otto) Perlbach in Germany, Elsie Meier, Irma Kratsch, Frieda (Roy) Snow, Erika (John) Dalebozik, Waltraud (Bob) Stiller and Inge (Charles) Lampert. Omi will also be lovingly remembered by her 30 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Mom has two sisters and many nieces and nephews in Germany. She will also be fondly remembered by Anne Leveque, Karen Telke, Viola Telke and many friends of the family. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 6088 Hwy. #9, Selkirk, MB (Main Street just north of the Mill) with viewing one hour prior to service time. Pastor Dave Saude will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Omi's grandsons, Roy Kratsch, Les Begg, Ken Dalebozik, Danny Telke, Fred Stiller and Lorne Telke. Honorary pallbearers are all the other grandchildren. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Olga's name to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, P.O. Box 448, Selkirk, MB R1A 2B3 or a charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
