Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST HUGGINS On Monday, August 15, 2005, Ernest Huggins, aged 83 years, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Ernest is survived by his sons, Tom (Lynn) and Don (Pamela); grandchildren, Mark, Shane, Laura, Christina and Jennifer; great-granddaughter Alexandria. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, Julia in 1999. Ernest was born on June 18, 1922 and grew up in the Weston area. He was very active coaching in sports in the community area. His life centered around his family and community. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1942 to 1945, sailing on the H.M.S. INGONISH and the H.M.S. WINNIPEG when he met his wife. Ernest worked at CPR from 1939 to 1958 and from 1958 to 1983 was employed at Canada Post until his retirement. He served in the Naval Reserve from 1950 to 1955. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 22 at Bardal Funeral Chapel, 843 Sherbrook St. with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment Fort Garry Roman Catholic Cemetery.
