Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH ANN BOYCE (nee MCDONALD) 1926 - 2005 Peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2005, with her loving husband and children by her side, our dear Bette passed away at the Grace Hospital. Bette is predeceased by her parents, Les and Geraldine McDonald; and brother Gerry. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Hugh, son Patrick, daughter Lesley and brother Bob. Remembered always for her sense of humour, story telling, connection to nature and passion for genealogy. Bette was proud of her heritage that dated back to 1837 where her ancestors contributed to the development of historic sites in the Red River area. Bette loved adventure and travel. She and Hugh spent many winters in Cuba where they made lasting friendships. Many summers were enjoyed at the cabin with her grandchildren where they would canoe, play games on the veranda and feed the chipmunks together. Left to cherish her memory are husband Hugh; son Patrick and wife Heather, grandchildren, Laurel (Tim) and Ben (Terra), great-grandchildren, Olivia, Fin and Tomi; daughter Lesley and husband Zoltan, grandchildren, Jesse and Jennifer (Ashley); brother Bob and wife Mona; nephews, Lee (Karen), Todd (Dale); niece Lisa (Hector); great-nephews and great-nieces, Tyler, Seth, Grace , Raphael, Joshua and Jessica. Special thanks to the 5th floor at the Grace Hospital. This final stage of life was handled with great care and compassion. Funeral service and reception will be held at noon on Friday, August 19, at Saint Peter Dynevor Church, 8 Old Stone Church Rd., East Selkirk. Viewing prior to the service.
