ELIZABETH ENNS Our mother, Elizabeth Enns, was born to Peter and Justina (Driedger) Enns on December 22, 1920, in Schoensee, Ukraine. Mom passed away Monday, August 15, 2005. With her family, she immigrated to Canada in 1924. She was baptized June 4, 1938 in the Lichtenauer Mennonite Church, near Ste. Elizabeth, MB. She and Dad, Henry Enns, were married there on July 27, 1940. They settled on a farm near Arnaud, where they raised their family. After retirement, they moved to Winnipeg. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Wil (Claudette), Verena (Darrell) Enns, Peter, Henry (Grace) and Ellie (Neil) Reimer; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; also one brother Herman (Mary) Enns; one brother-in-law Peter (Selma) Enns; and one sister-in-law Helen (Peter) Spratt; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by Dad in 1987, her parents and four brothers. Grateful thanks to all who helped make Mom's final months easier, the 8A nursing and medical staff at St. Boniface for daily going above and beyond the call of duty , Linda McKellar and Fr. Roland for always being there when they were most needed, Pastors Lisa Enns-Bogoya and Rudy Baergen for keeping Mom connected to her beloved church and the staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre who were just getting to know her. To all who visited so faithfully, thank you. You will never know how much your visits brightened and blessed Mom's days. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Ave., Winnipeg on Friday, August 19, 1:00 p.m., with interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. • I feel so very special that our lives have crossed paths. The greatest gift you gave me was the unconditional love that you bestowed on our family. Because of your pure agape love you have led me to live a better life. Of course the fine son you raised to be my wonderful husband has made me the happiest person on earth. I miss your wonderful wisdom, so I will continue to draw on the life experiences that you humbly shared. Thank you for being a wonderful shining example of what a person should aspire to be spiritually. I miss you but your spirit beats proudly in my heart forever.
