ALICE ZAROSKI (HOBDEN)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE ZAROSKI (nee HOBDEN) With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Alice Zaroski on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Portage District General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Lodge in 1987 and daughter Wanda in 1982. She was the last remaining sibling of the Hobden family. She is survived by children, Gary (Louise) and Dave (Bev); grandchildren, Tricia (Dave), Heather (Rick), Cathy (Ben), Laura, David, Alina (Tim) and Lara (Jake); great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jana, Anika, Hanna and Heather's daughter. Alice served in the Canadian Armed Service and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #65. Mom retired from Campbell Soup in 1987 and spent her retirement years gardening, going for walks and having coffee with her friends. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Sunday, August 21 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 7:00 p.m. In keeping with Alice's wishes, there will be a private funeral service. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, the late Lodge Zaroski, in Hillside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Alice's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, in care of Catherine Newham - Portage Office, 103 Wilkinson Cres., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1A7 or to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 730 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8 or to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
