SUSANNA (SUSAN) BERG Susan Berg peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at Bethania Personal Care Home, where she had been cared for with gentle compassion for the last seven years. She was born in Einlage, Ukraine, on January 10, 1915, to Peter and Susanna Braun. She is survived by daughters, Herta (Henry Derksen), Elizabeth (Peter Bueckert of Whittier, CA) and Dianna (Robert Watts); son Gordon (Kelly); son-in-law Hans Czechan of Lubeck, Germany; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Mary Neufield (Jake); and numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob Berg in 1973; and her daughter Lore Czechan in Germany in 2004. Special thanks to the staff of Bethania (especially the 100 wing) for their excellent care, Peter Derksen, and Jake and Anna Klassen for their wonderful friendship and support. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch St. at Cheriton Av. Viewing will be prior to the service. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S7.
