STANLEY JOSEPH KOZYRA Peacefully on August 17, 2005 at the Goodwin Lodge in Teulon, Stan passed away at the age of 75. Stan will be sadly missed by his wife Esther; daughter Debbie Fleury (Mike); daughter-in-laws Joyce and Valerie Kozyra; Papa will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Christina and Danielle Fleury; David, Lynn, Aaron and Michelle Kozyra; sister Rose and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family members. Stanley was predeceased by his sons David and Leonard, parents Joseph and Minnie, and sister Angeline. Stan was born on November 3, 1929 at Meleb, MB. He lived in Meleb until he married his wife Esther Gooley and they came to Gunton to farm and begin their family. Stan always enjoyed working with his hands and he worked at Charison's Turkey Hatchery for many years as a mechanic and handyman. He loved the outdoors whether it be bailing hay all day, feeding cattle or taking off for a day of fishing or hunting. Stan's pride and joy was his grandchildren and his face would always light when they came to see him. Stan farmed in the Gunton area until his health took a turn with Parkinsons. He then turned his farming and handyman skills to his garden, repairing the riding lawnmower and garden tiller and riding his bicycle. On November 27, 2004, Stan and Esther celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. In March of 2005, Stan resided at Goodwin Lodge until his passing. Prayer service will be held Sunday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon.
