BEATRICE PERKINS (ROBSON) Peacefully, on Friday, August 19, 2005, at the Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home, Bea Perkins of Winnipeg passed away at the age of 86 years. Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband Albert of 30 years; sons, Jack (Pat), Wayne (Marj), Gary; daughter Sandra Elder; sister Donny Smith of Vancouver; sister-in-law Dorothy Stewart of Vancouver; stepsons, Earl Perkins (Islay) of Calgary and Larry Perkins (Anne) of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander Robson in 1955. Bea was born in MacGregor, MB. on May 16, 1919. She spent the majority of her life in Winnipeg. Bea enjoyed life to the fullest. Her and Al spent many enjoyable hours at the Rockwood Army and Navy and the Seniors Club of Ashbury Place. During her lifetime she had many obstacles to overcome and always did it with a smile on her face. In the last year her biggest smile would appear when Al would visit at Tuxedo Villa. Her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her many, many smiles and chuckles. A private family graveside service and interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery. Bea's funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Ave. (corner of Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue) with Rev. Cliff McMillan officiating. For those who wish, parking will be available in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. Sincere thanks for the special care and compassion shown by Station 1 staff of Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home; to the residents of Ashbury Place who always inquired on Bea's status and a special thank you to Drs. Tanner, Louridas and K. Moran De Muller. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
