FAYLEEN LENA CHRISTENSON (nee SINGBEIL) Fayleen Lena Christenson (nee Singbeil) passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005, at the age of 59, after a long battle with Parkinson's. Fay was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Katie Singbeil and by brothers, Edward and Raymond. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gerald and daughter Erika and by her sister Joyce (Doug) DeGraff and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. After high school Fay worked for the Manitoba Telephone System for 18 years until daughter Erika was born and remained a housewife and mother until her Parkinson's made it no longer possible to function in that role. We would like to give thanks to the very caring and helpful people from Home Care and to her doctors and the nurses and staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital who took such good care of her in such a kind manner. We would like to give thanks also to Grace Swaffer for the kindness she showed over the months and special thanks to Auntie Edith for her support. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers are Karen DeGraff, Shelley Christenson, Paul Christenson, Stan Copp, Shaun Swaffer and Gary Pajak. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation of Canada.
