GORDON RICHARD GREENWAY June 5, 1927 - August 19, 2005 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father Gordon on Friday, August 19, 2005 at the Beausejour Hospital. Gordon was predeceased by his wife Mary; son Aubrey; parents, Arthur and Estella and brother Frank. He is survived by his children, Gordon Jr., Tim, Jim (Mary Ann), Cindy (Paul), and granddaughters, Amanda, Lindsay, Heather of Anola, MB, Brenda (Brian) of Bon Accord, AB, grandchildren, Greg, Marc, Jessica, Allison (Chad), great-granddaughter Caylie of Edmonton, AB, Donald (Shirley), grandson Jeff (Nancy), great-granddaughters, McKenna, Abigaile of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, brother Allan (Betty) of Saanichton, BC, Ken (Yvonne) of Quallicum, BC, Myrle of Wainwright, AB, Marion of Beaverton, OR and many nieces and nephews. Gordon was born on June 5, 1927 in Wainwright, AB. As a young boy, Gordon was doing a man's work in the field. Throughout his life Gordon served in the Army and later worked as a truck driver and continued farming. It was his job with the Gest Gas Company that required Gordon to travel throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and eventually to Manitoba where he met his wife Mary. Together they moved to a farm near Vivian, MB and began their family. Gordon was employed with CPR for 24 years however, farming always remained part of his life. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB with Mr. Richard Hadaller officiating. Viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Millbrook Cemetery where Gordon will be laid to rest beside his wife Mary and son Aubrey. The family wishes to thank Dr. Corder and staff for their care of Gordon while in the hospital. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Gordon's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
