Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY DANIEL WALUK October 10, 1916 - August 22, 2005 It is with sadness we announce the passing of a special and unique dad, grandpa, gigi, and friend. Harry Daniel Waluk left us at his home in Goodwin Lodge, Teulon, surrounded by family and staff. Dad had to find a variety of jobs in his life to support his family including working for Manitoba Hydro, M.T.S., driving the school bus while farming at the same time. Dad retired in 1980. His many talents and past times were playing horseshoes winning several trophies, playing cards, the mouth organ and building bird houses. Dad was also a member of the local Legion Branch for many years. Dad loved his family unconditionally. He had a great sense of humour and a friendly smile for all. Dad was born October 10, 1916 in Winnipeg. He lost the love of his life Olga, his wife of 59 years, on February 15, 2002. He was also predeceased by his son Richard 1992; parents, Ksenko and Karl; brothers, Bill, Pat, John and Adolf; sisters, Marie, Ann and Rose. Left to cherish his memory are daughter Eileen (Gordon); sons, Ken (Brenda), Doug (Betty), Ed (Cherry), Harry (Yvette) and John (Janet); daughters-in-law, Sharon (Ken) and Sherri (Ted); grandchildren, Lindsay, Hailey, Tammi, Danny, Chris, Bill, Josh (Amy), Kurtis, Erin (Gord), Amy, Brittany, Tim, Jacqueline, Ashlee, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Braiden, Jordan, Emma-Lee, Haylee, Malakiah and Christina; sisters, Lou and Kay; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors and all the staff at Goodwin Lodge for the compassionate care and love given to him since 2002. Prayers will be held Wednesday, August 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 25 at 10:30 at the Komarno Holy Trinity Parish. Rev. Fr. Hryhoriy (Harry) Chuckry officiating. Interment will be at the Komarno Cemetery where he will rest beside his beloved wife Olga. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Joshua, Chris, Danny, Lindsay, Kurtis, Bill, Tim, and Amanda. Honorary pallbearers will be sons, son-in-law, Gordon, nephew, Ron Waluk and niece, Carol Rutt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dad's memory to Komarno Holy Trinity Church or Goodwin Lodge in Teulon. We will love you forever, Rest in peace Dad.
