TREVOR JERALD KOZUB May 15, 1970 August 17, 2005 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Trevor Jerald Kozub, beloved husband of Vanessa of Mississauga, ON. At the age of 35 years, Trevor died peacefully on August17,2005in Houston, Texas with his family by his side. Trevor's optimistic outlook on life and his love for his young family motivated him to seek out a variety of medical treatments to overcome his very aggressive form of brain cancer. Trevor was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 15, 1970 where he lived until moving to Mississaugain 1999 after marrying the love of his life. At the time of his death, Trevor was practicing as a Board Certified Naturopath who helped many individuals both locally and overseas. Besides his loving wife Vanessa, he leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters,Athenaand Melina; his parents, Jerald and Shirley Kozub; sister Kim andhusband Ben Sawatzky; brother Mark and wife Caroline; father and mother-in-law, Gus and Helen Lecos; two sisters-in-law, Fay (Saki) Melissas, Elizabeth (Mike) Xidis; two brothers-in-law, Philip (Ruth) Lecos, Dennis (Georgina) Lecos; as well as numerous nephews and nieces who dearly loved him. Much of Trevor's joy and satisfaction in life was derived from his family. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Trevor firmly believed God's promise of a paradise that will put an end to the suffering of sickness and death, and he enjoyed sharing his hope with others. Psalms 37:11 gave Trevor strong conviction that paradise conditions will soon exist on the earth and he took particular delight in teaching his little girls to love Jehovah. Trevor treated everyone with respect and was a loyal friend. How comforting that time will be when God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more. (Rev. 21:3-4) A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Centre of Jehovah's Witnesses at 227 Lakewood Blvd. with Mr. Darren Hanson officiating. A private family interment will be held on Monday, August 29 in Oakville, ON.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • After my mother passed away with Colon Cancer in 2001, I seeked out natural alternative medical treatments for myself for my own ailments and met Trevor in London for a consultation sometime before he passed away. I found him very helpful and understanding and still have some of the (now empty) bottles of the treatments of pills etc he recommended I got from him. Today is the first time I have read this and learned of his untimely demise and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I just want to say "thank you" to him for his help at a difficult time when my mother had passed away as he gave me inspiration and hope. May Jehovah rest his soul and blessings go out to his spirit and all his family and friends. Thank you. xxx - Posted by: Irene Knox (Customer) on: Mar 04, 2012

  • Words can’t fully express how saddened we are by this terrible loss. Death is always an enemy but when it takes young vibrant individuals away it seems especially vicious. We know the Bible says “time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all,” and we accept that this is true but it still seems unfair, even unacceptable when it happens to someone we love. Hopefully knowing that Trevor is in Jehovah’s memory will help ease the pain before too long. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all; lean heavily on Jehovah because he will sustain you.
