MARGARET MURPHY (nee ROTONDO) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Margaret on August 23, 2005, at the Concordia Hospital. Margaret was born November 15, 1926, in Transcona to Carmine and Francesca Rotondo. She grew up in Transcona and attended Central School. She worked as a secretary until her marriage to Norman Murphy in 1951. Margaret was predeceased by her parents; her sister Matea; brothers, Dominic and Antonio; and her husband Norman. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her sister Helen Murray; children, Karen (Ned) Hilleren, Glenn (Ruth), Kevin, Gail, Brent (Lisa); grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris), Kristina (Darwin), Lindsay and Adam; great-grandchildren, Loren, Matea and Ethan; sisters-in-law, Anne Rotondo, Mary Murphy; and nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. D. Caners and staff at the Concordia Hospital. Prayers will be offered Thursday evening (tonight) at 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Funeral mass to follow Friday, August 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 425 Rosseau Ave. E., Fr. Fred Olds presiding. Interment at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's memory to the Arthritis Society or to a charity of one's choice.
