Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS LAW (nee MOUNTFORD) August 11, 1911 - August 22, 2005 Peacefully, with her family by her side, Doris Law passed away on Monday, August 22, 2005 at West Park Manor Personal Care Home, at the age of 94. Doris was born in Winnipeg and attended Luxton Elementary and St. John's High Schools as well as Dominion Business College. She worked as a secretary until her marriage to Fred in 1941. Fred and Doris lived for a short time in Port Arthur, ON and Doris lived with her parents in Lynn Valley, BC during Fred's service with the Air Force during the Second World War. The majority of her life was spent in Winnipeg. Doris loved tackling any kind of craft and was especially skilled at knitting and needle work. She very much enjoyed her volunteer work with the St. Boniface Hospital gift shop and the Dugald Costume Museum. She spent many peaceful hours playing the organ and was passionate about dance. Doris was a huge supporter of The Royal Winnipeg Ballet for many years. Doris was predeceased by her husband Frederick William in 1999; by her sister Annie Cramb and brother Wilfred Mountford, both in 1986; and by her son-in-law Winston Tucker in 1996. She leaves to mourn her children, Marilyn Diane Tucker (Winston) and Brian Frederick (Patricia); granddaughters, Monica Blackman (Andrew) and Robyn Law; and grandson Stuart Tucker; great-grandchildren, Janelle and Tyler Blackman and Brenna and Braedan Tucker. At her request, no memorial service will be held. Cremation has taken place and interment will be a private family affair. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
