SUSANNA SHARON MORDEN (nee LETKEMAN) After a long struggle with cancer, Sharon passed away peacefully on August 23, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Sharon was born in Winkler, MB on June 24, 1953 and spent her youth there. Having graduated from Winkler Collegiate in 1971, Sharon spent a number of years in the work force as a denturist assistant. Following her marriage to Blair in 1977, Sharon went on to obtain her RN certificate and remained employed in the health care field until 1981. It was important for Sharon to remain at home when raising her two daughters, Dara (1981) and C-Jae (1984). Upon return to the work force Sharon held positions as a Health Care Coordinator, and most recently was the Volunteer Coordinator at the Western Canada Aviation Museum. Sharon approached life with optimism and a passion. Her many interests included music, ceramics, stained glass, book club, involvement in community life, enjoying as much time as possible at the cottage, and spending time with family and friends. Even through the most trying times, Sharon seemed to have a smile on her face and something positive to say. She will be greatly missed by her husband Blair; and her daughters, Dara and C-Jae. Sharon is also survived by sisters, Tina (Jake), Helen (Jake), Mary (Edwin), Margaret (Lawrence). As a wife, mother, sister and friend, Sharon taught us all, usually by steady example. Her lessons and love will be with us forever. Interment will take place at Wiebe's Funeral Chapel in Morden on Friday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service celebrating Sharon's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27 at St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St. in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I have just recently found out about Sharon's death from Karen Hoes. We all worked together at Central Health and I just wanted to extend my sympathy to you Blair and the girls. - Posted by: Karen Kearney (Co-Worker) on: Sep 18, 2005

  • I am so sad for you. I had always admired Sharon as a wife and mother. My experience with Sharon was in an office and when her girls would phone, every day at the same time (so cute!), I always remember her sweet voice and loving words with them. It was heart warming. Her love for you girls and you, Blair, was so evident as she would just gush everytime she would talk about you. She was a sweet and caring person. It was a priviledge to have known her. I will be thinking of you in this very sad time. Karen. - Posted by: Karen Hoes (Friend) on: Sep 18, 2005
