Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM NELSON (BILLY) ZIMMER It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, brother and friend. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, Bill Zimmer passed away at the age of 91 years on Thursday, August 25, 2005, at Riverview Health Care Centre. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Isabel in 1999, after 53 years of marriage. He leaves to mourn his passing, his son Jim (Susan); daughter Ruby (Jim); his sister Ruby; and his four grandchildren, Michael, Lori, Jaclyn and Lisa. Bill was born in Edmonton and retired at the age of 63 years after 39 years of service with Burns Foods. After his retirement, Bill and Isabel spent time travelling with his family and friends and enjoyed the family summer home at West Hawk Lake. Bill, we love you most for the way you always put your family first, your ability to bring a smile to people's faces with your endless stories, and your sense of humour, which you kept with you even when your health failed. We know in our hearts you are now with Isabel. Service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. E. at Navin Road. Inurnment will follow in Holy Angel Mausoleum. The family would like to give special thanks to the very caring and helpful people of home care and the staff at Riverview Health Care Centre. The compassionate care given to Bill and his family will be remembered forever. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverview Health Care Centre, One Morley Ave., Winnipeg.
