LEO HALLDORSON Surrounded by family, Leo Halldorson of Lundar passed away on August 25, 2005 at 92 years of age at E.M. Crowe Hospital, Eriksdale, MB. Leo was born on October 4, 1912 at Lillesve, MB and lived all his life in the Lundar area. He attended Morning Star School, and on October 4, 1941 he married Irene Stinson. Leo worked most of his life on construction and as a mechanic for Sigfussons Transportation, C H Johnson, and also worked on the freight haul on the winter roads. He enjoyed working in the North at various fishing lodges. His retirement years were spent trapping, hunting, fishing and gardening. Dad was a member of the Lundar Museum Society and a volunteer for the Ag. Society. Leo is survived by his children, Murray (Lillian), Patsy (Bob) Roberts, Donald (Joyce), Judy (Bob) Gleich, Darlene (Art) Sweetland. He was a loving Afi to grandchildren, Diane (Peter) Lynch, Kevin (Amanda), Leanne (Ross) Kell, Laurel Roberts, Lindy (Sean) Bonn, Donald, Pamela (Neil) Leost, Barry Gleich (Corinne Jamault), Leona Sweetland (Sam Laughlin), Carla Sweetland (Stewart Thorgilsson), great-grandchildren, Nicole, Zachary, Marlee, Kelsey, Jordhan, Dylan, Deryk, Jeffery, Jennifer, Travis, Tracie, Sydny and Kianna. Sisters Fjola (Evert) and Johanna. Leo will be fondly remembered by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Irene, son Wayne, his parents Barney and Gudny, brother Jonas and sisters, Rikka, Lilja and Roz. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, August 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lundar Legion Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Burial will take place at Lundar Municipal Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Neil Burnet and all the health care workers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pauline Johnson Library or the Lundar Museum Society, Lundar.
