PAUL LEONIDAS Paul Leonidas, 80, of Barker's Island, formerly of Duluth, died August 24, 2005 in St. Luke's Hospice, Duluth, MN. Paul was born April 28, 1925 in Edmonton, AB to James and Pauline Leonidas. He married Patricia Houston on June 10, 1950 and lived in Winnipeg, MB. They moved to Minneapolis in 1966 and Duluth in 1969. Paul was President of Twin Ports Grocery / Gateway Foods and Thomson Berry Farm. Paul was very active in the Catholic Church both in Winnipeg and Duluth. He served on the boards of Holy Rosary Church, the Challenge Centre and the Benedictine Foundation. While in Winnipeg he was active in the St. Paul the Apostle Church and the Serra Club. Paul was predeceased by Patricia in 1999 and his brother George in 1998. He is survived by his children, Katherine of Lake Elmo, David (Lisa) of Inver Grove Heights, Terry (Jodi) of Duluth, Mary Anne Mader (Ralph) of Minnetonka and John (Beth) of St. Paul; sisters, Tena Courcoulas of Fort Myers, Kay Saunders (Hugh) of Toronto; sister-in-law Jean of Toronto; and grandchildren, Hannah, Nathan, Paul, Leah, Reed, Evan and Luke. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with Wake Prayers at 4:00 p.m. at the Dougherty Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary. Memorials preferred to the Duluth/Superior Community Foundation.
